EVO 2022 Registration is Open!
Evo 2022 registration is open and we finally know more details!
It will return live on August 5-7 2022, and will be at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
The Evo 2022 lineup:

- Melty Blood: Type Lumina – PS4 (Project LUMINA)
- Dragon Ball FighterZ – PS4 (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment)
- Granblue Fantasy: Versus – PS4 (Cygames and XSEED)
- Skullgirls: 2nd Encore – PS4 (Autumn Games)
Registration for Evo 2022 has started at the official website. This event will be the first one under the new management after Sony and RTS acquired the brand, with Rick “The Hadou” Thiher as a new General Manager.
What is Evo?
The Evolution Championship Series (Evo) is the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game event. For 20 years, Evo has brought together the best players from all around the world in an electric display of acumen and enjoyment.
Evo holds an open-format tournament each year to crown World Champions. Players and fans come together from all over the globe to honor the competitive spirit of the FGC (fighting game community). That is the purpose of Evo 2022!
Evo 2022’s competitions will be streamed live via twitch.tv/evo so don’t worry if you can’t make it in person!
How do you attend Evo 2022?
You can attend Evo 2022 by registering for the convention at smash.gg/evo or you can purchase an Arena Finals ticket from AXS.com. The day before the event, you may pick up your event badge and free refillable water bottle.
What is the deadline for Evo 2022 tournament registration?
Evo is an open tournament, and any player who wishes to compete in it must first register by July 9, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT via smash.gg/evo. After Late Registration has closed, no one is permitted to sign up.
- Early Bird registration is available until April 8, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT.
- Normal Registration is available from April 9 to June 9, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT.
- Late Registration is available from June 10 to July 9, 2022 at 11:59pm PDT.
- Day passes will be available on-site, Friday and Saturday, event weekend. Day passes do not allow entry into the 9 tournaments hosted at Evo 2022.
Keep in mind, to participate in Evo 2022’s events you must be at least 13 years old. If you’re under the age of 13, your parents will need to fill out a form allowing you to participate and be on-site during the event chaperoning your experience.
