Death Stranding on PC Game Pass is a Huge Gift

Great news for PC Game Pass members! The critically acclaimed PlayStation console exclusive, Death Stranding, will soon be yours to play. That is assuming you don’t already have it on Steam or PlayStation 4.

The PC Game Pass Twitter account made the announcement with an image of Death Stranding‘s protagonist carrying a metal case with a PC Game Pass sticker on it. And the sticker has a date on it: AUGUST 23, 2022

505 Games, an Italian publisher, made the award-winning walking simulator available on Steam and the Epic Games Store in 2020. 505 Games is the same company bringing Death Stranding to PC Game Pass thanks to a deal they made with Kojima Productions.

What is Death Stranding about?

Death Stranding is about a humble delivery man, portrayed by Norman Reedus, transporting packages across a post-apocalyptic United States. But it’s a Hideo Kojima game, so it’s not as simple as it sounds. You carry a baby that helps protect you from supernatural beings that seek to interrupt your amazing delivery record. And like any great deliverer of goods, you must make sure no harm comes to your precious cargo.

Interestingly enough, Death Stranding on PC Game Pass will be a thing, but Death Stranding on Xbox Game Pass will (likely) not be. It makes sense since Death Stranding is not on Xbox and who knows if it will ever be.

The console wars are funny.

If you have not jumped into the PC Game Pass pool yet, you can subscribe to PC Game Pass for $1 for the first month. PC Game Pass is the only subscription I regularly maintain. The value for the money is hard to pass up when I’m in a gaming mood.

If you don’t want to keep the subscription going after the first month, just cancel it. You’re a self-aware human with the ability to make decisions—I believe in you.
